Dr John Wood
Managing Director of Leadership Solutions

John’s background and corporate experience is extensive including roles as HR and OD specialist, consultant, company director, manager and now business owner. He has been employed in manufacturing, financial services and the professional services sectors and consulted to other industries throughout Australia including energy, resources, defense, government and pharmaceuticals. In addition John has complimented his experience with academic qualifications including a PhD addressing the qualities of successful CEOs (see writings for abstract). John has also been a practicing psychologist since 1983.

Executive Coaching
John has been involved in executive coaching for over 25 years and specialises in leadership development including leadership style, interpersonal style and effectiveness, learning from experience, influencing skills, work-life balance, change management, career transition, managing difficult people, self awareness, peer relations, preparation for more senior roles.
360° Systems
John has worked with the Centre for Creative Leadership (USA) over the last 20 years to accredit users in their premier 360° management assessment instruments Benchmarks® and Skillscope®. John also is an accredited practitioner with Human Synergistics having used their products for over 15 years. During this time John has also been involved in the design and development of in-house 360 questionnaires based on competency profiles and organsiation values statements. His specialty includes the design of individual and group processes to enhance feedback, the design of developmental experiences to enhance the lessons required for performance development, coaching, and personal development planning.
Culture Change
John has over 25 years experience in culture change including the design of culture change programs using surveys, focus groups, interactive presentations and planning seminars to identify current and desired culture, cultural gaps, and strategies for enhancing culture and performance.
Leadership Development
John has designed and delivered leadership development programs for enhanced performance, culture change and corporate wide leadership initiatives. The design has included values and competency based models, 360 degree feedback and action learning.
Team Building
John is also an experienced facilitator of executive and senior management team building programs using a variety of methodologies such as experiential activities, focus groups, surveying of team dimensions, and a variety of feedback-based and skills building workshops.
